OTT-Jakob produces special rotary joints for various operations and offers three standard types: GDR-LC, GDR, and GD. The rotary joint is installed in the OTT-Jakob release device and can also be used in conjunction with the clamping system. These joints are designed specifically for the power traction rod of OTT-Jakob, which is used in machine tools with high-speed spindles, where the machine tool delivers coolant to the tool through a single channel. The connector can also guide air for pipeline cleaning and partial dust removal.

Improved parameters for GDR union types. The maximum spindle speed is now 24000 RPM (formerly 16000 RPM), and the maximum coolant pressure is 80 bar instead of 50 bar. Like the GDR-LC model (16000 RPM/maximum coolant pressure 50 bar) and GD model (36000 RPM/maximum coolant pressure 80 bar), the minimum lubrication amount (external mixing) pmax is 5 bar, the maximum clean air (n=0 min-1) is 10 bar, and the maximum pressure air (n<10000 min-1) is 5 bar

The new GDP is a small rotary joint designed for small release devices, with a maximum spindle speed of 75000 RPM and a coolant pressure of 80 bar. It adopts hybrid bearings, a high-speed rotating balance design, and a closed sealing surface. The minimum lubrication amount (external mixing) pmax is 5 bar.
