1. The characteristic of this product is that its flash point is above 200 ℉, OSHA IIIB grade, low sulfur, and low halogen. Sherwin penetrants are divided into two types: water wash and non water wash. Due to the presence of emulsifiers in water wash penetrants, these types can be directly cleaned with clean water. Non water washing and water washing are the opposite, as they require independent emulsifiers to clean the surface.
2. Washing type fluorescent penetrants are classified as Class I, Method A, in the three international standards MIL-I-25135 and AMS-2644, while non washing type penetrants are classified as Class I, Method B, or Method D. Whether it is washing type penetrants or not, washing type penetrants can be classified as Method C, even if both are removed by organic solvents.
3. Fluorescent penetrant can also be segmented based on accuracy or sample preparation for identifying small defects. Level 0.5 is a low accuracy level, and level 4 is an accuracy level. The accuracy level prepared is agreed upon by the inspection process technical instructions.
