1. Monitor scan locations or tools whose precise location has been previously entered by "teaching" or "learning". The location is then checked after each loop to verify that the tool or location still exists within the +/ -1.2 °-25° user-defined window.

Once the position is set using Teach/Learn or by adjusting the switch, the system is ready to run. Simply apply a 24vdc signal to the Start terminal to start the scan cycle (this can be done by CNC, PLC or relay). The wand will rotate to the selected position and verify the presence of the tool or object. If all is well, the device will output an "OK" signal to allow the machine cycle to continue. If the tool is broken, the rod will move past the storage location and the controller will output a "KO" signal to let the machine know there is a problem and shut down automatically. The wand must also be moved to the smallest position.
