A contact temperature sensor is a temperature sensor that requires physical contact with the sensed object and uses conduction to monitor temperature changes. They can be used to detect solids, liquids or gases over a wide temperature range.
In a contact speed sensor, there is a probe on one side of the moving part and a coil on the other side. The moving part is constrained by the spring, which causes the probe and coil to move in the direction of the central axis, and the coil is positioned in a specific magnetic field. When the probe is pressed on the bearing outer ring, the vibration of the outer ring is transmitted to the coil, and the induction starting voltage of the coil becomes the sensor output. These applications require light probe pressure and high frequency characteristics. The ADS-12 and ADS-24 contact speed sensors offer flat frequency characteristics up to 10 kHz when the probe pressure is set to 0.4 N.
