Knoll screw pumpOverview:
A screw pump is a rotary pump equipped with screws that mesh with each other and rotate within a cylindrical chamber or lining. Fluid enters the suction side of the pump and moves linearly with these meshing screws to the discharge side of the pump. The clearance between the screw and the lining is very small, so the fluid gains pressure as it passes through the pump.
Knoll screw pump type:
Single screw pump - Single screw pump is called screw pump, sometimes also called PC pump or worm pump. These are usually not considered in the screw pump series because the shape of the rotor used in these pumps is not like a typical screw, but a twisted circular shaft. A screw pump has a shaft that is slightly twisted into a screw shape and is mounted in a pump chamber, usually with a rubber lining.
Double screw pump - Double screw pump, also known as double screw pump, is the most common type in high-power applications such as heavy oil pipeline transportation. One of the screws is driven by a power source (motor, engine, etc.) and is usually combined with a timing gear to rotate the second screw.
Three-screw pumps - Three-screw pumps, also known as three-screw pumps, are commonly used in small applications, such as lubrication systems. One of the screws is driven by a power source, and then the other two screws are rotated around it without the use of a timing gear.
Four-screw pump - The four-screw pump is essentially a double screw pump, but each rotor has two screws, each screw facing the opposite direction. The four-screw pump draws the fluid at the suction inlet and then evenly flows to both ends of the pump. Two streams of fluid flow through the pump to the center and join together again before leaving the outlet. Like the two-screw pump, the four-screw pump also has a timing gear to drive the second rotor. Four-screw pumps are commonly used in multiphase applications and oil pipelines.
Five-screw pump - The five-screw pump is mainly the same as the three-screw pump, but uses five screws instead of three. Like the three-screw pump, the five-screw pump has a submersible rotor that drives all the other screws. Five-screw pumps are commonly used in lubricant or hydraulic applications.
